Tax Calculation Report Enhancement
The Tax Calculation Report, that was previously delivered in 23C, provides a detailed breakdown of the calculations used in the Oracle Payroll Tax Engine for a payroll or Quickpay. This report is provided as a tool to understand what factors were used in the calculations, as well as a detailed description of the calculation steps that produced the taxes.
The Tax Calculation Report was enhanced to use data from payroll run results instead of the log file, resulting in the following improvements:
- You no longer have to setup payroll logging
- You no longer have to configure the submitting user and role assignments
- You can run this report any time after the payroll processes (no longer have to rollback and rerun with logging)
- You can run this report using a new set of parameters, including:
- Person Name (ability to search for a specific employee)
- Payroll Relationship Group
- Tax Type (All or a specific type)
The illustration below highlights the parameters for the Tax Calculation Report.
The enhanced Tax Calculation Report provides the following benefits:
- Ability to run report at any time, which is advantageous in a production environment
- Ability to run report using parameters to help narrow your results
- Simplified and improved troubleshooting process
- Faster resolution
