CFDI Upgrade

The CFDI Upgrade provides improvements to and streamlines the CFDI process.

The CFDI upgrade includes:

  • a new XSL template which you can change to meet your unique CFDI formatting requirements.
  • reporting live data which means you won't have to reverse and re-run processed CFDIs to correct non-computed CFDI data.
  • reporting of Payroll balances instead of having to rely on the CIR and archived run results.
  • an accurate insight into how CFDI results have been computed because the business logic has been moved from the archive to the payroll run.
  • the ability to reissue cancelled or PAC-rejected CFDIs.

Streamline your CFDI reporting by enabling the new features for the CFDI Upgrade.

Steps to Enable

To support the new CFDI flow, there are new components (such as input values, balances) that must be created for your elements. The Mexico CFDI Element Upgrade has been added to enable you to upgrade existing elements to create these new components.

This feature upgrade is a two-step process:

Step 1 - Element Upgrade

Upgrade the elements to create new components:

  • Input Values
  • Balance Types
  • Balance Feeds
  • Defined Balances
  • Status Processing Rules
  • New Formula – for elements that are eligible.
  • Formula Result Rules

Note: Formula upgrades will include new text and are only for elements from the Standard Earnings, Absences and OTL classifications. The name of the new formula will be the same as the existing formula name appended with a system timestamp.

After completing Step 1:

  • Review the new formula created (appended with the system timestamp).
  • Compile the new formula.
  • If compilation completes successfully, you can proceed with step 2.

Step 2 - Formula Upgrade

Upon successfully compiling the new formula in Step 1, you can run the feature upgrade flow with the Formula Upgrade option. This step will replace the element’s current formula with the new formula (appended with the system timestamp).

After completing the Mexico CFDI Element Upgrade with the formula upgrade option:

  • Check your customization.
  • Compile the new formula (it's now the element’s current formula).
  • Run a payroll calculation to test the upgrade.
