Enhanced California Flat Sum Bonus Overtime Calculation Support

We have extended our support of overtime premium calculations on California flat sum bonus payments to work with overtime earnings elements you created with the Time Card category.

With this feature, users can calculate California flat sum bonus payments for all overtime earnings elements.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips And Considerations

• This functionality doesn't support your existing overtime and overtime premium elements.  You must recreate those elements.

• Before you create your time entries, create element eligibility for the <Element Name> Flatsum indirect element.

• When you create time entries for overtime and overtime premium hours elements to process along with flat sum bonuses for employees in California jurisdiction in a pay period, the element entry API automatically creates an indirect element.  During payroll processing, this indirect element processes the additional premium due.
