Check-Ins Between Managers And Indirect Reports
Managers can now create a Performance check-in for an indirect report. When creating a check-in for an indirect report, the manager’s name defaults as the check-in manager and can’t be changed. The employee is notified when the check-in is created.
Manager Creating Check-in
Similarly, employees can choose an indirect manager in Performance and Touchpoints. Employees, if they have multiple assignments, can select a specific assignment for which they want to create the check-in and also select the manager for that assignment.

Employee can Choose Manager from List of Values
When selecting a manager for the check-in, the manager list that displays is controlled by the values specified in the ORA_HRA_MANAGER_LEVELS profile option.
Based on the values specified, here’s how the levels display:
- Direct managers if the profile option ORA_HRA_MANAGER_LEVELS is Null. System considers this as 1.
- Direct managers of their managers if the profile option ORA_HRA_MANAGER_LEVELS is set to 2 or above.
- Indirect managers of their managers if the profile option ORA_HRA_MANAGER_LEVELS is set to 3 or above.
Managers are notified when the check-in is created and can update the check-in. Employees can access the check-in later from their Performance Spotlight.
This features provides the flexibility for employees to schedule check-ins with other managers, and managers to schedule check-ins with indirect reports as required.
