Oman Social Insurance Update July 2024

A new component for social insurance is delivered to calculate the employer only charge for Insurance for Maternity Leave, which is applicable to all employees from 1st July 2024.

To enable the calculation of Insurance for Maternity Leave the following have been delivered, from 1st Jul 2024:

• Calculation Value Definition - Employer Insurance for Maternity Leave Rate (flat amount - 1%)
• Element - Employer Insurance for Maternity Leave (nonrecurring, priority 9100, employer charge)
• Balance - Employer Insurance for Maternity

The employer charge is calculated as 1% of the contributory salary which includes basic salary, all allowances and bonus, without a minimum or maximum.
