Flexible Work Patterns and Absence Entry
When a worker with no published work schedule enters absence dates, the application checks if they have a flexible work pattern on the eligible days. If they do have it, then the application uses it to default the start and end times, and to validate working days.
For example, a worker may be available for work from Monday to Saturday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, but unavailable on Sundays. If the worker enters a future dated absence outside of this scheduling window, the application uses these flexible patterns to default the start and end times, and to validate working days. However, the person entering the absence or approving it must always ensure that the absence duration doesn't exceed the worker’s full-time equivalence for the week.
Workforce Scheduling supports flexible work patterns. In absence of a published work schedule, absences will use these flexible patterns to default the start and end times and to validate working days.
