Assign Roles to any Template

You can now grant access to assign roles to any HCM Spreadsheet Data Loader template. Previously, templates based on some objects were only available to superusers.

To do this grant the HRC_ASSIGN_ROLES_TO_ANY_HSDL_TEMPLATE privilege to the role that maintains your HSDL templates to allow roles to be assigned to any template, regardless of the data security classification.

Create your own templates and assign roles to use them, the template LOVs can restrict the data referenced or updated. You can assign your custom use-case specific templates to the roles that need them. For example, assign your Learning Specialist custom role access to HSDL and the templates to create courses, specializations and upload learning records.

When maintaining templates, users with this privilege will now see:

• Assign Roles to Template on the Define page is always enabled
• The Create button on the Role Access page is always enabled

Access to templates for normal HSDL users is achieved through role mappings.

Steps to Enable

Grant the HRC_ASSIGN_ROLES_TO_ANY_HSDL_TEMPLATE privilege to the role that maintains the HSDL templates.
