Attachment of Earnings and Notice of Attachment
You can create a Court Orders calculation card at the payroll relationship level. In Payroll, use the Calculation Cards task to create the card for the employee.
The application provides all court order elements under the primary classification Involuntary Deductions. Each type of court order is a predefined secondary classification. This enables you to set up your court order elements using the template that uses fast formulas, lookups, value setup, value group, value definition, and range. These are used when the element is processed for an employee.
You need to create a court order element as Involuntary Deductions and select the secondary classification as the type of court order. Here are the key tasks to perform while setting up elements for court orders:
-
Create court order elements
-
Select element classifications
-
Set up element eligibility
Depending on the order of Attachment of Earnings issued to the employer by the courts, the corresponding court order element must be attached to that employee. Each court order type has a set of required and optional values that you must complete for that employee.
When you create the calculation card, the Court Order Information component is automatically created. If you are loading data using HCM Data Loader, this component needs to be created manually. Here are the calculation components that are available:
- Attachment of Earnings Maintenance
- Attachment of Earnings Fines
- Notice of Attachment Revenue
- Notice of Attachment Department of Social Protection
The Reference Code value must be unique for each employee.
Use the new Court Orders calculation card, card components, associated elements, and calculations delivered as part of the phased delivery for payroll.
