When Assigning Core Skills, Managers Now Only See Employees and Organizations They’re Allowed to Assign Skills To
Enables you to assign core skills at the following assignee types:
- Person
- The assignee list (in the LOV) only includes employees who report to you in the primary assignment of their primary work relationship, regardless of their position in the hierarchy.
- You can view and search for employees by name, email address, or person number, making it easier to identify and assign core skills to the right individuals.
- Directs
- You can select direct reports from the list, limited to managers who report to you within your hierarchy through their primary assignment.
- You can also search for and select your own direct reports, whether managers or individual contributors, based on their primary assignment.
- Organization
- You can search for and select organizations led by managers who report to you anywhere in the hierarchy, based on their primary assignment in their main work relationship.
- You can also select your own organization, which indirectly includes everyone in your supervisory hierarchy, both managers and individual contributors, based on the same criteria.
The selection list shows employee names, email addresses, and person numbers, making it easier to identify and assign core skills to specific employees.
To assign core skills go to My Team > Team Skills Center > Employees. Choose Assign Core Skills. After you select the core skills for an assignee type, choose Assign.

Allows you to assign core skills by selecting employees from a streamlined list, making it easy to identify the right talent to meet skill expectations and excel in their roles.
