New Subject Area - Celebration Real Time

Augment your reporting on Oracle Celebrate, part of the Oracle ME employee experience platform with the introduction of the new subject area Celebrate - Celebration Real Time.

The new subject area Celebrate - Celebration Real Time allows you to report on the details related to Oracle Celebrate. This includes the setup data like Celebration Program, Program Owners, Program Eligibility, Program Payroll Elements related to Awards, Celebration Cards, Values, and info about illustrations.

On the transactional details, you can also report on the following:

  • Recognition and award details received by the workers. The manager or a colleague that provided these to the workers can also be reported.
  • Comments, likes and the person that has liked these worker recognitions.

Some of the key metrics provided out of the box include the points received, shareable points, number of workers receiving, number of workers sending these recognitions and awards, and so on.

Salient Feature of the Celebrate - Celebration Real Time Subject area:

  • The attribute Is Receiver Indicator Code in the Recognitions folder holds the key for the values in the common dimensions like Worker, Business Unit, Department, Job, Grade, and more. If this attribute has the value as Y, then the common dimensions display the assignment attributes related to the receiver. If it is N then it displays the assignment attributes related to the sender.
  • The attributes [Core Value1 Name], [Core Value2 Name], [Core Value3 Name], [Core Value4 Name], [Core Value5 Name] in the Recognitions folder returns all the core values associated with a recognition in a single row. This will help you answer business questions such as - 'Show all the core values associated with a worker's recognition in a single row?'.
  • The attribute [Core Value Name] in the folder Celebration Values allows you to report on all the core values that have been setup in the system. This will help you answer business questions such as - 'What are top three core values associated with maximum recognitions?'.
  • Celebrate Fact Details > Recognitions provides details for both types: point-based recognitions and award-based recognitions. The attribute Headline in this folder can refer to either award or recognition based on the value displayed in Celebration Type attribute. Celebrate Fact Details > Awards - Details provides additional details for award-based recognitions.

Steps to Enable

Leverage new subject area(s) by adding to existing reports or using in new reports. For details about creating and editing reports, see the Creating and Administering Analytics and Reports book (available from the Oracle Help Center > your apps service area of interest > Books > Administration).

Tips And Considerations

A negative value in the Points folder > Points column is expected behavior and indicates the points were transferred.

  • Shareable Points in the application is aligned with Shareable Points (of Sender Worker) in OTBI.
  • Points Received in the application is aligned with Points Received (by Receiver Worker) in OTBI.
  • In OTBI the Is Receiver Indicator is applicable for the entire subject area, for both metrics in Celebrate Facts and Feed Summary Facts.

Element information in Celebration Program Elements and Celebrate Fact Details > Awards - Details is sourced from Payroll and so these details are secured.

The Time dimension is anchored on Recognitions.Celebration Date, the date on which the award/recognition was given.

Celebrate Fact Details > Recognitions provides the details for both types: point-based recognitions and award-based recognitions. The Headline column in this folder can refer to either awards or recognitions, based on the value displayed in Celebration Type / Celebration Type Code column.

Celebrate Fact Details > Awards - Details provides additional details for award-based recognitions.

We are supporting two flavors of Core Value information. Celebration Values.Core Value Name returns the unique or distinct values of the core values defined in the system. This helps answer business questions such as: 'What are top three core values associated with maximum recognitions?'. Recognitions.Core Value1 Name ... Core Value5 Name returns all core values associated with a recognition in a single row. This helps answer business questions such as: 'Show all the core values associated with a worker's recognition in a single row (denormalized form)'.

When the Is Receiver Indicator is set to Y/Yes then the Common dimension folders such as worker, department, job, grade, location, and so on, pertain to the Receiver's dept, job, and more. When the indicator is set to N/No then the Common dimension folders such as worker, dept, job, grade, location and so on pertain to the Sender's dept, job, and more.
