Single Accrual Balance for Multiple Assignments

There is now a new option in the Processing Level list called Primary Assignment in the absence plan create and edit page. When you select this option for a worker with multiple assignments, only the primary assignment is enrolled in the plan. The plan balance is maintained against the primary assignment enrollment. Now if the worker records an absence for any of his assignments in the same legal employer, then the absence consumes the plan balance from the primary assignment enrollment.

Plans with the processing level of primary assignment currently don't support retro processing after global transfer and loss of eligibility. It will be supported in a future release.

If a worker's primary assignment changes because of an HR Assignment Update and the effective date of the change falls in the middle of an absence that consumes a plan with a processing level of primary assignment, the absence will automatically be updated and end dated one day prior to the HR Update effective date.

Business Benefit: You can now define accrual plans that calculate and store accruals at the person level.
