Define Customized Approval Workflows for Gig Creation and Gig Application Processes
As an admin, you can define customized approval workflows for gig publishing and gig application processes using the transaction console.
If you enable gig creation workflows, when an admin attempts to publish gigs, the gigs remain in draft status until their line manager approves them.
NOTE: The approval workflow is bypassed when gigs are created by admins and assigned to gig managers. Gigs created by admins and assigned to themselves require approval.
If you enable gig application approvals, after a user applies to a gig they'll see a status stating that the application is pending approval. When the user's manager approves their gig application, they'll see a status of Applied. If their manager rejects the application the status moves to Application Approval Rejected. If a manager rejects a gig application or doesn't approve the gig before the configured end time, applicants are given the ability to reapply.
This feature ensures compliance and accountability, reduces likelihood of unauthorized gigs, improves workforce planning, and aligns gig work practices with overall business objectives.
