LGPS KIT and SPLIT Days

You can now identify earnings elements as KIT or SPLIT days, so that the appropriate pensionable earnings are added to the balances for CPP1 or CPP2, using the element-level EFF ' TPS and LGPS Information'.

When creating a unit (days) by rate earnings element, that has been identified as either a KIT or SPLIT day, you must ensure that you create a new input value called Date Worked (date type) to enter the date the KIT or SPLIT day was actually worked.

When processing the element entry for a KIT or SPLIT day, during a period of assumed pensionable pay for child related leave, the earnings for the KIT or SPLIT day will be compared to the amount of assumed pensionable pay due. The CPP1, or CPP2, balance will include the highest of either the KIT or SPLIT day or the assumed pensionable pay due. To achieve this comparison each KIT or SPLIT day must be entered as a single day, using the date worked input value.

If the KIT or SPLIT day falls within a period of non-pensionable service, for example unpaid maternity leave, the CPP1 or CPP2 balance will include the total KIT or SPLIT day earnings.
