Redwood Experience: Changes to the Required Sections in the Job Requisition Creation Flow

Changes were made to the required sections when you create a job requisition in Redwood.

In previous releases, when you created a job requisition:

  • You had to complete the first 3 sections (How to start, Basic info, Hiring team) to create a job requisition in Draft status. Until you reached the Hiring team section, the Submit button was greyed out and you couldn’t submit the job requisition. The Save and Close button wasn’t visible until you reached the Hiring team section.
  • From the Hiring team section onward, when you clicked Continue, the info in the current section was automatically saved and you could see when the data was last updated for that section at the bottom of the screen.
  • You had to complete the Hiring team section to access any other sections. In the meantime, the sections after the Hiring team section were disabled.

In this release, the Requisition structure is now required. Which means you need to fill these 4 sections to create the job requisition in Draft status:

  • How to start
  • Basic info
  • Hiring team
  • Requisition structure

When you reach the Requisition structure section:

  • The Save and Close button is visible.
  • The Submit button is enabled.
  • Clicking the Continue button will auto-save the data in the job requisition.
  • Optional sections are unlocked only when you reach the Details section.

This enhancement ensures that the fields in the Requisition structure section are populated at the time the job requisition ID is generated. It also provides a seamless submission of the job requisition even when it's secured by Area of Responsibility.

Steps to Enable

To use the Redwood job requisitions list page, you need to enable these profile options:
