Succession Management - Skills and Qualifications Insights of Succession Candidates
If your administrator has enabled the Succession Readiness tab on the candidate details panel, succession plan owners can now assess the succession readiness of plan candidates by viewing their skills and qualifications on this tab.
The candidate’s skills and qualifications are compared with the model profile of the job of the plan incumbent, or the model profile of the job associated with the succession plan. For Position type plans, the comparison is done with the corresponding position profile.
Plan owners can view these details provided the appropriate content sections have been subscribed to in Talent Profiles:
- Skills of candidates: This includes the skills attained by the candidate and the skills that the candidate wants to develop. Click a skill chip to view details of the skill. You can also update or endorse the skill level of the candidate.
- Competency map: This shows the target competency and the candidate’s competency level.
- Licenses and certifications: You can see those that the candidate already has and those that are required for the model profile.
- Degrees: You can see those that the candidate already has and those that are required for the model profile.
- Languages: You can see those that the candidate is proficient in and those that are required for the model profile.
Succession Readiness Tab
Plan owners can add development goals for the skills and qualifications that the candidate doesn’t yet have.
Using this feature, you can now easily determine the succession readiness of candidates and plan for their development.
