Enhance Performance of Global Payroll Deduction Report and Costing Results Report
You can now use the new XML Split action parameter to split and process the global payroll Deduction Report and Costing Results Report, thereby enhancing report performance.
The following action parameter has been added to enable XML split for reports with large output file size.
- Action Parameter Name - XML Split Limit Maximum number of data objects in an XML file
- Description - Set this to an optimum value to ensure the output is broken into parts no bigger than what the BI server can handle.
- Default Value - No Limit
Note: Before you enable this action parameter, you must enable the ‘Multithread XML generation for Extracts’ parameter.
For reports with huge output data, the XML split functionality splits the report output into smaller, manageable chunks of XML files while processing thus reducing the processing time and enhancing the performance of the reports. The XML chunking enables parallel processing and the smaller XML files later be merged into a single report.
Use the new XML Split and Processing action parameter to enhance report performance. The action parameter splits reports having large output data into smaller XML files while processing, thus reducing the processing time and enhancing the performance of the report.
