Generate Run Balance Enhancements
The Generate Run Balances and Automate Generate Run Balances features refresh all stored values for run balance dimensions to ensure that accurate data is consistently available for payroll calculations and reporting. These features have now been improved with the following enhancements:
- You can now submit the Generate Run Balances flow for all dimensions of a single balance. The Dimension Name parameter is now optional when you chose a Single Balance in the Balances to Include parameter. The Run balances are generated for all dimensions associated with the selected single balance.
- The Automate Generate Run Balances feature is now enhanced to include the required action group and event actions needed to automate the generate run balance process. You must use the Run Feature Upgrade flow to enable these predefined event action configurations.
Use the Run Feature Upgrade flow to enable the Enable Run Balance Feed Automation feature.
To use the Run Feature Upgrade flow, navigate to the My Client Groups > Payroll > Submit a Flow quick action, and search for the flow on the flow submission page.
Use the enhanced Generate Run Balance processes to ensure accurate values are always available for payroll calculations and reports.
Steps to enable and configure
Use the Run Feature Upgrade flow to enable the predefined event action group and event actions for the Automate Generate Run Balances feature.

Navigate to My Client Groups > Submit a Flow quick action under Payroll.

On the Flow Submission page, search for the Run Feature Upgrade flow.

Select the Enable Run Balance Feed Automation feature.
You don't need to run this feature upgrade flow if you have already created the necessary event actions details for the Automate Generate Run Balances feature using HCM Data Loader.
Note : If you choose to disable the feature, using the Disable Run Balance Feed Automation, the Event Groups, Event Actions, Event Group Actions are automatically deleted from your application.
