Redwood: AI Recommendations for Key Communications to Employees

Here's how AI recommendations work in Oracle Communicate:

  • The highlights carousel displays a prioritized mix of upcoming registered events, promote journey, promote learning, and collect responses campaign emails, and AI-based recommendations in any remaining slots.
  • Registered events stay until they're withdrawn, cancelled, or an event completion, while collect responses emails remain until action is taken or two weeks pass.
  • AI recommendations stay up to two weeks and are refreshed by removing the oldest AI item when new events or campaign emails arrive.
  • Recommendations are based on campaign emails from the past month when you first load the page. After that, we’ll keep things up to date by only looking at any new, unread emails as they come in, and generate AI recommendations from those.
  • AI recommendations are sorted by relevance, and if no relevant items exist, the carousel slots remain blank.
  • AI recommendations are based on criteria such as work location, business unit, job role, and other factors such as recent communications employees interact with.

Business benefit: Increase employee engagement by persistently displaying the most relevant AI campaign recommendations on the highlights carousel.

Steps to enable and configure

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips and considerations

  • AI recommendations appear only in remaining slots after registered events and priority campaign emails types (such as promote journey, promote learning and collect responses) fill the carousel, and persist for up to two weeks before disappearing.
  • When new events or priority campaign email types arrive, the oldest AI recommendation is removed immediately for higher-priority content.
  • If no relevant AI recommendations are found, carousel slots remain blank, reflecting the absence of suitable unread campaign emails.
  • Registered events on the carousel are sorted by earliest start date, while the priority campaign email types are sorted by the latest sent date.
