Techwolf Skills Catalog Connector

Skills catalog administrators can configure the Techwolf Skill Catalog Connector to import and synchronize Techwolf skills into a provider-managed catalog. The connector helps keep catalog skills current while supporting control over duplicate skills and catalog data.

Use Techwolf Skill Catalog Connector to:

Configure Techwolf in Configure External Providers under Skills and Qualifications.
Select an eligible catalog and an active integration user, then validate the provider configuration.
Import skills through an initial full import and subsequent incremental updates.
Import supported skill metadata, including domain, business driver, and business capability.
Choose whether to import a Techwolf skill when an active duplicate exists in another catalog.

Note the following:

The selected catalog and integration-user combination must be unique. The integration user must be active.
After validation, the selected catalog becomes provider managed and can't be changed for that connection.
Provider-managed skills can't be added, renamed, or have their descriptions or synonyms changed manually. Administrators can update supported attributes and can deactivate skills.
If Techwolf is configured to win duplicate handling, an incoming Techwolf skill is imported and the matching existing catalog skill is set to inactive. Only one provider should be configured as the duplicate-resolution winner to avoid conflicts.

Prerequisites

Enable Enhanced Dynamic Skills.
Select or create an active, empty, custom catalog of Skills template that isn't already used by another provider.

Steps to enable and configure

Create an integration user for import of skills. For details on creating an integration user, see How do I integrate external skills providers with Oracle Dynamic Skills?
Go to My Client Groups > Learning > Setup > Configure External Providers.
In the Skills and Qualifications section, choose Add.
Create a provider and use the catalog and integration user created in the previous steps.
Validate the setup and enable the connection to begin the initial import.
Configure duplicate-skill handling according to the organization's catalog-management approach.

Access requirements

Learning Specialists and HCM Applications Administrators can configure the connector. The selected integration user needs the permissions required to manage the provider API.
