Course Section Attribute Dates

Configure course section attribute dates confidently by clearly seeing the date values inherited from the course section's associated academic period. As before, you can change section attribute dates to section-specific values and now you can revert these values back to the date values inherited from the associated academic period. Additionally, you can choose an option to inherit attribute dates from a different academic period. The following image illustrates the updated course section attribute date configuration.

You can easily understand the attribute dates applicable to the course section without navigating to a different page. Additionally, changing the academic period attribute date source period gives you greater configuration flexibility, allowing you to make better use of academic period hierarchies. You will also save time and reduce potential for human error by adjusting dates using as a pivot date. When a section is copied from one period to another, pivoted attribute dates will automatically recalculate based on the new period's start or end date, eliminating the need to update these dates manually.
