Support of ED June ISIR Code Updates for 2026-27 and Future

Oracle Student Financial Aid updates ISIR comment and reject-code processing to align with the June 2026 Federal Student Aid specifications for the 2026–27 award year and future.

  • Comment codes 040, 076, 096, 127, and 352 are no longer treated as FPS C Flag comments.
  • New comment codes 361 through 364 are mapped to reject codes 77 through 80 and remain in a resolution-required status.

Business Benefit: This helps financial aid administrators process ISIRs using current federal specifications, reducing manual interpretation and supporting timely resolution of affected records.

Steps to enable and configure

Use the Opt In UI to enable this feature. For instructions, refer to the Optional Uptake of New Features section of this document.

Offering: Student Financial Aid

  • Review baseline configuration for ISIR processing and update your configuration workbooks as needed.
    • To get ISIR processing setup, begin by downloading your existing configuration from Oracle Student Financial Aid within Administration > Configuration Administration > Download.
    • This configuration will include the pre-populated system data relevant to the new year, which you can then update as needed.
    • Additionally, you can download the baseline configuration delivered through Cloud Customer Connect to use as a reference for making the required updates. The following workbooks were updated to support 26/27 and 27/28 ISIR processing.

      • ISIR_REJECT_CODES
      • ISIR_REJECT_TO_C_CODES
      • ISIR_REJECT_CODES_TO_FIELDS 

Tips and considerations

  • The affected comment codes remain available as ISIR comment codes; they are no longer processed as FPS C Flag comments.
  • New comment and reject-code combinations require resolution and aren’t automatically cleared when initially loaded.
