September 2026 SAIG message-class update

Oracle Student Financial Aid includes the September 2026 Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG) message-class table published by the U.S. Department of Education.

Added Message Class References

The updated table adds the following 13 message-class references. The direction describes the ED file exchange; adding a reference does not activate an SFA workflow or cause SFA to generate a submission file.

Message class System File purpose Direction
CBWB26OP COD CB Web Response File ED to institution
CRCB26OP COD CB Common Record Schema Response File ED to institution
DLPD27OP COD Direct Loan Pending Disbursement List ED to institution
EASTCLOP NSLDS Earnings Accountability Completers List ED to institution
EASTPCOP NSLDS Earnings Accountability Program Response — CSV ED to institution
EASTPFOP NSLDS Earnings Accountability Program Response — fixed width ED to institution
EASTSCOP NSLDS Earnings Accountability Student Response — CSV ED to institution
EASTSFOP NSLDS Earnings Accountability Student Response — fixed width ED to institution
CRCB26IN COD CB Common Record Schema Request File Institution to ED
EASTPCIN NSLDS Earnings Accountability Program Submittal — CSV Institution to ED
EASTPFIN NSLDS Earnings Accountability Program Submittal — fixed width Institution to ED
EASTSCIN NSLDS Earnings Accountability Student Submittal — CSV Institution to ED
EASTSFIN NSLDS Earnings Accountability Student Submittal — fixed width Institution to ED

File Access and Processing

The 13 classes were absent from the previous bundled reference table and are included in the September update. Existing processing activation and file-type mappings are preserved.

For files already downloaded from your configured SAIG mailbox, your institution can use the existing Vocado US Department of Education Gateway (VUG) REST APIs to access the files, including stored files whose processing is disabled. This existing access is separate from processing the file contents into student records.

This update does not introduce SFA processing for these classes or automated Earnings Accountability reporting. Receiving or retrieving a file does not, by itself, update student eligibility, awards, disbursements, or other student data.

Business Benefit: Keeps the service’s message-class reference information aligned with the Department of Education’s September 2026 table.

Steps to enable and configure

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips and considerations

  • Files in an inactive FPS or COD format remain queued until that supported format is enabled. A message class without an SFA processing flow remains outside automated student-record processing.
  • The 13 entries include eight incoming file references and five outgoing references. Outgoing references describe files sent to ED; their presence does not mean SFA generates those files.
  • To access downloaded files, use your institution’s existing VUG REST API access and the API documentation available with the release notes on Cloud Customer Connect. The award-year file-format guide in Key resources describes this existing option.

  • If your institution needs upload or download configuration for non-award-year message classes that are not managed through DOE File Management, submit an Oracle Support request with your environment URL, the requested change, and the message-class list.
