Use Qualification Logic Config on Domain Level

This Optional Feature, when enabled, allows GTM to use the logic configuration on the domain level instead of the user level during trade agreement qualification. You can use the logic configuration with a Type of GTM LOGIC CONFIGURATION when configuring GTM for trade agreement qualification. Navigate to Configuration and Administration > Domain Management > Domain Settings to configure.

  • For item-based actions, the qualification logic uses the Parameter Set on the Domain Settings. The Parameter Set contains the logic configuration which specifies the qualifiers used during qualification.
  • For transaction-based actions, the logic configuration specified on the Transaction Type defined on the transaction is used during qualification. If the Transaction Type is not specified or does not contain a logic configuration, then the Parameter Set on the Domain Settings, which contains the logic configuration, is used.

Business Benefit

This enhancement allows for greater configuration flexibility of GTM to support multiple business units or other complex domain configurations.

Steps to Enable

  • Set the Optional Feature called 'Use Qualification Logic Config on Domain Level' to TRUE/enabled. Accessed via Configuration and Administration > Property Management > Optional Features.

NOTE: Only the DBA.ADMIN user can access and use the Optional Features page.

Tips And Considerations

When the optional feature is not enabled, the existing logic is used:

  • For item-based actions, the qualification logic uses the Parameter Set on the User Preference. The Parameter Set contains the logic configuration with a Type of GTM LOGIC CONFIGURATION which specifies the qualifiers used during qualification.
  • For transaction-based actions, the logic configuration specified on the Transaction Type defined on the transaction is used during qualification.
