Active/Inactive Flag Added to Service Provider
This feature provides you with an Active/Inactive flag on the Service Provider UI. You can set your Service Provider to Inactive if you want to remove the Service Provider from consideration in bulk planning or in actions that involve rating/re-rating a shipment. Switching a Service Provider from Active to Inactive will clear the rates that have been cached for that Service Provider. The Active/Inactive flat can be set in the UI or via the XML API.
In the Service Provider view below, the Service Provider Active flag is set to True/Active.
Service Provider Active/Inactive Flag
When active, the Service Provider will be considered as available for planning and rate inquiry requests. In the example below, the Active Service Provider Carrier01 is the least expensive Service Provider for the sample rate inquiry.

Unchecking the Active flag for Service Provider Carrier01 - as shown below - will remove Carrier01 from Rate Inquiry consideration.

When the same rate query is run, after unchecking the Active flag for Service Provider Carrier01, Carrier01 is no longer provided as an option.

Business Benefit
This feature simplifies your ability to include or exclude Service Providers in your planning and decision support activities - including Bulk Planning, and actions related to rating/re-rating. - like Service Provider, Change Equipment Group etc.
Steps to Enable
To limit the Service Providers included in your planning and decision support activities to only those Service Providers that are marked as Active, you need to enable the Optional Feature FIND RATES OF ACTIVE SERVPROV ONLY. When enabled, this optional feature will find the rates for only Active Service Providers i.e., where the Active Flag is checked on the Service Provider.
Tips And Considerations
Modifying the Active flag on the Service Provider will impact the current set of rates that have been cached. When you modify the Active flag on a Service Provider, the "rateGeoCache" / "spotGeoCache" will be cleared and only the rate records for Active Service Providers will be cached.
