UI Logic Configuration Export Format Option

This feature provides you with two UI Logic Configuration parameter options for the EXPORT FORMAT. These parameters allow you to control the type of MS Excel output provided when exporting from Finder and Finder Results. The options are:

1. Excel: Exports results to an Excel workbook (Default). File extension of .XLSX.
2. Unformatted Excel: Exports results to a tab delimited Excel. File extension .XLS.

In the example below, the User Preference has been set with a UI Configuration Logic Config where the Export Format parameter value is set to Unformatted Excel.

This User Interface Configuration Preference is assigned the UI Logic Configuration configured above.

When the Export is run for the Shipment Finder Result below, the .XLS Unformatted Excel format is provided - previous behavior/format.

The Unformatted Excel .XLS export is provided below, with first the format compatibility message then in the .XLS format.

Selecting Yes above, opens the Export in .XLS format - Unformatted Excel.

Now, in the example below, the same Finder Result data will be exported with the UI Configuration Logic Config where the Export Format parameter value is set to Excel, the default.

When the Export action is run against the same Finder Results as above, the Export is done in the Excel .XLSX format - as shown below.  Note that there is no warning regarding format extension.
