Rate and Route and Network Rate and Route REST Request and Response

This feature provides a new REST based Request Response approach for your Rate and Route and Network Rate and Route actions.  The Rate inquiry actions exposed via REST Web services migrates the Rate Inquiry from the legacy RIQ specific Request/Response approach following the RIQ UI, to an Order Release based Request.  This move provides you with an equivalent set of inputs and constraints provided with the original XML based RIQ approach and expands the inputs and constraints to consider additional Order Release constraints and information, for example, Packaged Item information.

Supported Actions:

  • The Rate and Route action options lists the best shipping option for each valid itinerary.
  • The Network Rate and Route  actions returns results either "By Itinerary" or "By Schedule and Equipment".

This feature expands the dimensions of the Rate and Route Network Rate and Route queries to include the constraints and requirements found on the Order Release.

Steps to Enable

To enable this feature, you will need to develop a REST based Request and Response capability. The documentation provided by the Rate Inquiry section of the REST API for Fusion Cloud Transportation and Global Trade Management Business Object Resources provides the information required to take advantage of this new capability.
