Ability to Print Labels from Item Inventory by LPN UI
With this release, Oracle WMS extends your label printing capabilities by supporting the inbound and outbound labels on the Item Inventory by LPN screen. This enhancement saves time and effort - you can quickly fire your label prints, without having to navigate to other screens.
Once you enable the group permission, all you need to do is select from one of the following newly introduced action buttons on the Item Inventory by LPN screen:
For Inbound LPN Labels:
- Print Label (action button)
For Outbound LPN Labels:
- Print Shipping Label (action button)
- Print OBLPN Label (action button)
- Print OBLPN Contents (action button)
BEHAVIOR
For printing inbound LPN labels (LPN Type “I”), the group permission “Container / Can print IBLPN labels” needs to be enabled for your user. When an inbound LPN is selected, the “Print Label” button is enabled for you to initiate printing.
Likewise, for printing outbound LPN labels (LPN Type “O”), the group permission “Container / Can print OBLPN labels” needs to be enabled for your user. Now, the buttons “Print Shipping Label”, “Print OBLPN Label” and “Print OBLPN Contents” will be enabled for printing eligible outbound LPN labels.
Just like the label printing transactions across other screens, the system prompts you for the “Printer Name” and “Number of Copies” as well.
NOTE: The maximum number of copies that can be printed is capped at 5 to prevent misuse and misprints. So, if you enter a number higher than 5 for the copies to be printed, the system displays the error message: "Number of copies cannot be greater than 5".
Steps to Enable
- To print inbound LPN labels (LPN Type “I”), enable the group permission “Container / Can print IBLPN labels” for the relevant user.
- To print outbound LPN labels (LPN Type “O”), enable the group permission “Container / Can print OBLPN labels” for the relevant user.
