Predefined Integration Mappings for Manufacturing and Maintenance Work Orders, Material Issues, and Product Completions
We have a new prebuilt integration for receiving work order transactions from Manufacturing via Inventory Management. This prebuilt integration covers the scenarios of reporting product completions, material issues/returns and also product returns. This prebuilt integration utilizes the manufacturing_transaction API for recording the work order transactions. Refer to the WMS to Inventory Integration Guide for more details.
CHANGES TO INVENTORY ADJUSTMENT, RECEIPT CONFIRMATION, AND RECEIPT ADJUSTMENT INTEGRATIONS TO PREVENT DOUBLE COUNTING OF INVENTORY
During manufacturing and maintenance work order material issues and product completions, after Manufacturing posts the transactions, Inventory Management makes inventory updates before calling WMS APIs for material issues or product completions/raw material or product returns. When WMS performs the transactions and WMS APIs are called for material issue/product completion, WMS generates Inventory History Transactions (IHTs) relevant to inventory adjustments and creations. If these IHT's are read by Prebuilt Integrations for inventory adjustments there will be double counting of inventory.
INVENTORY HISTORY TRANSACTION CHANGES FOR INVENTORY ADJUSTMENT
When the following IHT's are processed for Manufacturing Transaction Direct Work Order through Inventory Adjustment Integration, double counting of inventory is prevented:
- IHT-4 – (Inventory Adjusted – Pre-verification)
- IHT-29 (Create Allocatable Container)
- IHT-22/23 (Lock Container Before/After ASN Verification)
- IHT-24/25 (Unlock Container Before/After ASN Verification)
- IHT-49/50 (Lock/Unlock Active)
- IHT-2 (Container Consumed)
INVENTORY HISTORY TRANSACTION CHANGES FOR RECEIPT CONFIRMATION When the following IHT's are processed for Manufacturing Transaction Direct Work Order through Receipt Confirmation and Receipt Adjustment Integration, double counting of inventory is prevented:
- IHT-4/17 (Inventory Adjusted – Pre/Post-verification)
- IHT-22/23 (Lock Container Before/After ASN Verification)
- IHT-24/25 (Unlock Container Before/After ASN Verification)
- IHT-2 (Container Consumed)
NOTE: Reference Value 20 for the above IHTs are populated with specific values when material issues /product completions/raw material or product returns are performed. Prebuilt Integrations for Inventory Adjustments and Receipt Confirmations have been expanded to ignore the above IHTs where reference value 20 is populated.
