Warehouse Management is bringing several Web UI improvements that will go a long way in optimizing your experience in 24D. Now, enjoy overall better navigation and increased ease of operations on the app using the following features:

NEW PERMISSION TO RUN WAVE BUTTON IN MOVEMENT REQUEST AND WORK ORDER UI

To prevent unauthorized running of waves in the Movement Request and Work Order UIs, we have introduced two new group permissions that control the access:

  • Movement Request/Run Wave
  • Work Order/Run Wave

So now, when you give the group permission “Movement Request/Run Wave” via the Groups UI to a specific User, the system enables the “Run Wave” button on both the Movement Request Header as well as the Movement Request Detail.

Likewise, when a User has been assigned the group permission “Work Order/Run Wave”, the “Run Wave” button on the Work Order Header is enabled for the User.

LOCATION UI - “MASS UPDATE – LOCATION” ENHANCEMENTS

In the interests of saving time during peak seasons or warehouse reorganization as well as reducing discrepancies that may arise from manual updates, you can perform mass updates for multiple locations simultaneously.

Now, mass updates can be performed by configuring the following new fields:

  • Location Type – you can select the location type via a drop-down containing the following options “Active”, “Consolidation”, “Dock”, “Drop”, “Pack and Hold”, “Packing Station”, “QC”, “Receiving Station”, “Reserve”, “Shipping Location”, “Staging Location”, “VAS” and “Yard”.
  • Allow Multi SKU – a drop-down with the option to select “Yes” and “No” is present.
  • Allow reserve partial pick – a drop-down with the option to select “Yes” and “No” is present.
  • Restrict Batch – a drop-down with the option to select “Yes” and “No” is present.
  • Assembly Flag – a drop-down with the option to select “Yes” and “No” is present.

If you select the “Allow Multi SKU”/”Allow Partial Pick”/”Restrict Batch”/”Assembly Flag” fields in the “Mass Update – Location” screen and don’t change the “Enter New Value” or leave the field as blank, the system will process it by considering the value as “No”.

However, if you select the “Location Type” in the “Mass Update – Location” screen and don’t change the “Enter New Value” or leave the field as blank, the update will fail for all the Locations, since the “Location Type” is a mandatory field.

"Mass Update - Location" configuration field Validation

Location Type

  • The Location Type will be changed only if the Location is empty and also does not have any in-transit inventories.

  • Only if the "Dedicated company" is "*", the Location Type of an empty storage location (Active/Reserve) will be changed to a non-storage location (Consolidation/Dock/Drop/Pack and Hold/Packing Station/QC/Receiving Station/Shipping Location/Staging Location/VAS/Yard).

  • For a Reserve Location with 'Allow Partial Pick' enabled, the system will not change the Location Type, as 'Allow Partial Pick' is only applicable for 'Location Type' = Reserve.
  • For an Active Location with 'Assembly Flag' enabled, system will not change the Location Type, as 'Assembly Flag' is only applicable for 'Location Type' = Active.

Allow Multi SKU

For a location with Current/In-transit inventories of multiple SKUs, the system will not disable 'Allow Multi SKU'

Allow reserve partial pick

The system will enable the 'Allow reserve partial pick' of Locations only if 'Location Type' = Reserve.

Restrict Batch

For a location with Current/In-transit inventories of a SKU with different Batch Numbers, the system will not enable 'Restrict Batch'.

Assembly Flag

The system will enable the 'Allow Partial Pick' of Locations only if 'Location Type' = Active.

ADDITION OF NEW SEARCH FIELDS IN MANUAL WAVE UI

As a warehouse supervisor, take advantage of a more granular search for records in the Manual Wave UI.

Now, you can add search criteria for “Planned Parcel Shipment Number” (From Order Detail) and “Shipping Blocked Flag” (From Order Header). When the “Planned Parcel Shipment Number” is entered in the filter criteria, WMS will return all the orders related to it. Likewise, with the “Shipping Blocked Flag” set to Yes/No in filter criteria, all relevant data records will be displayed.

Steps to Enable

  • To enable the "Run Wave" button on the Movement Request Header and Movement Request Detail screen, go to the Groups UI and assign the group permission “Movement Request/Run Wave” to your User.
  • To enable the "Run Wave" button on the Work Order Header, go to the Groups UI and give the group permission “Work Order/Run Wave” to your User.
