Perform Roll-up Before PSR
This feature enables you to configure the order of execution in the qualification engine. In previous releases, the qualification engine logic runs in a specific order of execution. The gtm.roo.qualification.performRollupFirst property reverses the order of execution and runs the roll-up analysis first based on your business needs.
- If the property is set to false, the existing functionality is used where GTM first runs the applicable Rules of Origin - Product Specific Rules with a leaf node-based RVC analysis. If the rules fail, GTM then determines if the finished good and components qualify based on the roll-up principle. The default value is false.
- If the property is set to true, GTM runs the roll-up analysis first. GTM does not trigger the leaf node-based RVC analysis as it is not possible to meet the qualification threshold with the simpler leaf node analysis if the more aggressive roll-up analysis fails.
This property works in conjunction with the Optional Feature 'PERFORM WHOLLY ORIGINATING BEFORE PSR'. If both the optional feature and the property are set to true, the order of execution in the qualification engine is as follows:
- Wholly Originating
- Roll Up
- Leaf Node (which will never run on trade agreements that perform Roll Up analysis first)
This enhancement allows for greater configuration flexibility of GTM by enabling customers to determine the order of execution in the qualification engine.
Steps to Enable
To configure the order of operation during qualification for roll-up and product specific rules, configure the gtm.roo.qualification.performRollupFirst property within Configuration and Administration > Property Management > Property Sets.
NOTE: Only the DBA.ADMIN user can access and use the Property Sets page.
Tips And Considerations
To maintain the order of execution from earlier releases, set both the 'PERFORM WHOLLY ORIGINATING BEFORE PSR' optional feature and the gtm.roo.qualification.performRollupFirst property to false.
