Expand Wave Groups to Support Replenishment Tasks

In the light of unpredictable spikes in the demand and supply of goods in warehouse operations, replenishment becomes tedious and time-consuming when you rely on the tried-and-tested formula of scheduled jobs. With this feature, we’re enhancing the functionality of Wave Groups to club multiple replenishment wave templates. Now, you enjoy an increased level of flexibility in managing replenishment requirements.

Using a Wave Group, you can now use the any of the following trigger modes (in one instance) for replenishment wave templates:

• Movement Request
• Percentage of max
• Min capacity
• Order-based replenishment

However, if the Wave Group has any capacities defined (i.e, max units/max weight/max volume/max orders to distribute), replenishment wave templates can’t be associated since precedence is given to the defined capacities.

Similarly, when the underlying Wave Group has the Replenishment Wave Template with either of the trigger modes set up, the capacity configuration for that Wave Group is restricted.

NOTE:

• Combining Replenishment Wave Templates and Picking Wave Templates in a single Wave Group is not supported.

• Multiple Replenishment Wave Templates in a Wave Group can be used with only a single trigger mode at a time.
