Manage Company and Item Behavior Using Control Key

To provide clarity, and prevent random selections due to caching, we've added a new feature that addresses item ambiguity issues in RF transactions such as Cycle Count and Create LPN for 3PL environments. This enhancement ensures that whenever there is ambiguity regarding item barcodes across multiple child companies, an error will be displayed.

We have added a new facility level parameter, "legacy_treat_item_barcode_ambiguity_as_error_in_rf," which allows you to control how item ambiguity is handled. By default, this parameter is set to "yes," treating item ambiguity as an error. However, you can choose to disable this parameter and revert to the original behavior, if preferred.

We've added a new control key "Restrict Company" (key: O), is now accessible from the RF menu screen. This control key allows you to explicitly restrict access to a specific company, providing control and security for your operations. This new key provides enhanced flexibility and security when managing company data on RF devices.

• Pressing the key brings up a popup where you can enter a company code.

NOTE: If an invalid user or company code is entered, the system displays error message.

• The company code displayed at the top of the RF screen will show an asterisk (*) to indicate only that company is in active.
• The restricted mode remains active until the user logs out or uses the "Restrict Company" key again to undo the restriction.
• When changing facilities using ctrl-f, the system will validate that the selected facility includes the restricted company in its list.
• At the top of the screen, an asterisk (*) next to the company name clearly indicates the active company in restricted mode.
