Enhanced WMS Work Area Activity Module

We’ve introduced updates to clearly distinguish between the WFM and WMS Work Area Activity modules, improving accuracy and reducing confusion during VAS activity creation. The WMS module is now restricted to VAS activities and enforces specific UOM validations, ensuring accurate RF VAS processing and reduces errors during execution.

There are two Work Area Activity modules:

  • One used in WFM to configure system, VAS, and manual activities.

  • Another used in WMS to configure VAS activities for RF VAS Processing.

The following changes have been made to the WMS module (products = WMS):

  • The module name has been changed from "Work_Area_ActivityView" to "WorkAreaActivityWMSView".

  • The description of the module has been changed from "Activities" to "WMS VAS Activities".

  • If screens have been created using the above module, all screens have been prefixed with "WMS VAS" (Note: customers are free to change the screen name as required).

NOTE: If you have existing screens that were created using the WMS module (now WorkAreaActivityWMSView), such screens have been prefixed with “WMS VAS” for easy identification. However, you are free to rename the screen as desired.

These changes are designed to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of VAS activity creation in WMS. They ensure compatibility with RF VAS processing, which only supports Units, LPNs, and Pallets. Customers can still customize screen names as required, but the system now enforces stricter validations to reduce errors during VAS execution.
