Support Post Action Checks

This feature provides support for Post Action Checks within the Enhanced Workbench.  Post Action Checks, check the saved condition after execution, but before data is persisted to the database, if the configured saved condition fails, the process is reverted without any changes.

Post Action Checks are configured in Configuration and Administration > User Configuration > Manage User Access. In the User Access Type field, select the option Action Checks.

In the example below, the configuration will perform Action Action is for Edit Shipment, the pass condition is for the transportation mode of Ocean.  In this example the Post Action Check has been selected.

  In the example below, the action fails the Post Action Check, because the mode for the shipments do not pass the Post Action Check configured above.

Extending the implementation of Post Action Checks to include the Enhanced Workbench, provides you with an addition tool you can use to ensure that data integrity is maintained after an action has been executed.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips And Considerations

Post Action checks within the Finder Results continue to work as they have in previous release, this feature extends the availability of Post Action checks to the Enhanced Workbench.
