Populate Trade Program During Qualification

This features enables the population of the Trade Program on the item and the transaction line when trade agreement qualification is performed.  

Populating the Trade Program on Item

When you trigger the Qualify for Trade Agreement action/agent action, GTM populates the Trade Program on the Item Qualification record if the:

• Classification Code of the importing country is present on the item
• Country of Import is entered on the action

Populating the Trade Program on Trade Transaction Line

When you trigger the Qualify for Trade Agreement action/agent action, GTM performs an eligibility check on the transaction line and, if successful, copies the trade program from the item associated with the transaction to the transaction line. GTM filters based on the trade agreement using the following data on the line:

• Classification Code
• Country of Import

This features provides the population of the Trade Program on the item and the transaction line when trade agreement qualification is performed. For cases where you are qualifying your manufactured goods for trade agreements, the assignment of the trade program at the same time provides additional details which are key to the qualification. 

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips And Considerations

Data is only stored to the Product Classification History table when the optional feature is enabled.
