Limit the Rate Basis Items Displayed for Accessorial Cost

This feature provides you with the option of selecting the set of RBIs (Rate Basis Items) that will be displayed when configuring your Accessorial rates.  This feature improves usability and eliminates errors related to incorrect RBI selection.

In the example below, the list of RBIs displayed for the Emission_Cost Accessorial configuration has been limited to the set of five Emission Related RBIs shown below.

This feature simplifies the setup of accessorial cost by limiting the Rate Basis Items (RBI) that are displayed to a relevant subset of RBI options.

Steps to Enable

The setup steps required to take advantage of this feature are provided below.

You must enable the Optional Feature ENABLE ACC COST RESTRICTED RBI VISIBILITY.  This Optional Feature is false for existing customers.  Note that you must have DBA Access to enable the Optional Feature.

You must create an Accessorial Operand Visibility Set.  This page is accessed via Contract and Rate Management > Contract Management > Rate Offering or Rate Record > Accessorial Operand Visibility Set.  The  Accessorial Operand Visibility Set is where you select the set of Rate Basis Items you want to display when defining an Accessorial Cost.

The Accessorial Operand Visibility Set you wish to use, (defined above) must be entered as the Parameter Value for the ACCESSORIAL OPERAND VISIBILITY SET under the RATES section of the Domain default Planning Parameter Set.
