Introducing Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC)
After the 25C update, the current Analytics solution in Oracle Transportation Management, Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) will be migrated to Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC). You will receive a separate communication with the specific details about this migration. Please review the documentation provided below via a link in the “Steps to Enable” section to prepare for the migration.
Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) is a scalable and secure Oracle Cloud service that provides a full set of capabilities to explore and perform collaborative analytics for you, your workgroup, and your enterprise.
OAC is functionally equivalent to OAS and has the following additional benefits:
- OAC is designed for cloud – it can easily scale to accommodate growing data needs, including storage, processing power, and user access.
- OAC will reduce effort for installation/patching, reduce downtime for quarterly patching (by ~30%), and keep you on the latest Analytics software. OAC provides automatic updates every 2 months with no additional downtime.
- OAC focuses on user experience – it has enhanced Data Visualization capabilities and is intuitive so as to enable self-service analytics.
Business Impact:
With OAC, you also get flexible service management capabilities, including fast setup, easy scaling and patching, and automated lifecycle management.
Steps to Enable
You will need to do a one-time configuration and setup to enable OAC. The detailed steps are available here: https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/transportation/25c/otmca/index.html#Getting-Started-with-Oracle-Analytics-Cloud-4
