Raise Error On Allocation Failure
This Optional Feature, when enabled, will generate an error during the allocation when there is a failure while allocating a single business object. When the Optional Feature is not enabled, the error generation is suppressed.
Business Benefit: This feature ensures that allocation errors are reported when a failure occurs with allocations involving a single business object. This changes provides faster issue resolution, and improved auditability. You can identify and address allocation problems proactively rather than risk data inconsistencies that may be harder to trace if errors are suppressed.
Steps to enable and configure
If you need to change the Opt In state for this feature:
- Go to the Optional Feature UI - Configuration and Administration > Property Management > Optional Features.
Your user must have the DBA.ADMIN user role to use this functionality.
- Select the Raise Error On Allocation Failure feature.
- Run the desired Action for the feature - Opt In or Opt Out.
