Apply Packing Restriction Rule in Mobile Combine /Repack OBLPN

Packing restriction rules allow you to control and manage how items are packaged and stored. We have now enhanced the packing restriction rules to provide improved control over which inventory items can be combined or repacked together. So, you can now configure packing rules on the Combine OBLPNs (rf.outbound.cwrfcombineoblpn) and Repack OBLPNs (rf.outbound.cwrfrepackoblpn) mobile transactions.

For example, if you want to restrict mixing hazardous and non-hazardous items for combine or repack, you can now configure a packing restriction rule and proceed with the transaction.

To provide the compatibility to configure the packing rule, we have added a new text-type screen parameter “packing-restriction-rule” to the following mobile transactions:

  • Combine OBLPNs
  • Repack OBLPNs

On configuring a packing restriction rule in the Packing Restriction Rule (PackingRestrictionRuleHdrView) UI, enter the packing restriction rule in the screen parameter “packing-restriction-rule” to assign it to the transaction. During the transaction, the system checks the configured packing restriction rule and then based on the specified criteria, blocks the inventory mixing and proceeds further.

ADDITIONAL CRITERIA FOR PACKING RESTRICTION RULES

Also, to facilitate targeted operational controls, we have introduced the following new criteria to the Packing Restriction Rules:

  • Order Dtl Planned Load Number
  • Order Dtl Planned Parcel Shipment Number

You can use these criteria to target rules for specific outbound loads or parcel shipments, increasing flexibility and reducing manual workarounds.

These newly added criteria are applicable to the following mobile transactions:

  • Distribute OBLPNs (rf.outbound.cwrfdistributelpn)
  • Combine OBLPNs (rf.outbound.cwrfcombineoblpn)
  • Repack OBLPNs (rf.outbound.cwrfrepackoblpn)
  • Pick and Allocate (rf.outbound.cwrfpickandallocateorder)
