Improvements to Predefined Integration for Direct Item Procurement
In release 26B, we’re improving the prebuilt WMS–Inventory integration for Direct Item Procurement (DIP) to better control when inventory updates are sent to Fusion, and to enable scenarios such as host-driven putaway that were previously not supported.
Customers can now use host-driven putaway (for example, storing inventory from specific suppliers in dedicated warehouse locations) while still sending the appropriate inventory adjustments to Fusion.
IMPROVED TRACEABILITY THROUGH NEW REFERENCE CODES
New reference codes capture relevant flags and facility context to support better downstream processing and troubleshooting.
INVENTORY ADJUSTMENT MESSAGES (IHT-2, IHT-4, IHT-17)
A new reference code is introduced to distinguish non-DIP scenarios that should still send inventory adjustments to Fusion (such as host-driven putaway). The integration will capture the Auto Consume setting in a new reference field (REF Code 22) so Fusion receives the correct context.
INVENTORY AUTO-CONSUMPTION MESSAGE (IHT-91)
A new reference code (REF Code 12) will capture the facility name (FCN) for inventory auto-consumed transactions to improve identification and reconciliation. both HDP and ACF as true.
LOCATION LOCK PROCESSING (IHT-49) REFINEMENT
Additional reference codes will capture:
- Host-Driven Putaway (HDP) via REF Code 17
- Auto Consume Flag (ACF) via REF Code 22
- For DIP flows (where HDP and ACF are both true), IHT-49 is restricted to avoid inappropriate processing.
- For non-DIP flows (where either HDP or ACF is false), IHT-49 continues to be processed as expected.
NOTE: When a location is locked in a DIP flow, the corresponding location active message (IHT-40) will be populated with
