Enhancements to Direct Work Order Transactions Predefined Integration to Capture Reason for Scrap

Manufacturers need to accurately track why materials are scrapped—whether from defects, overproduction, or process errors—to reduce waste, improve processes, and stay compliant. Automating this data flow between WMS and Oracle Fusion Inventory & Manufacturing ensures timely, accurate updates to your inventory and cost records.

We've updated the mapping in the Direct Work Order predefined integration from Oracle Fusion Inventory to seamlessly capture Reasons for Scrap transactions. This integration cuts manual errors, streamlines inventory adjustments, and instantly reflects scrap reasons in financial and quality reports.

A new field Reason for Scrap is introduced on the existing Manufacturing Transaction header UI and API entity to support Post.

POST.../wms/lgfapi/v10/inventory/manufacturing_transaction

For more information, refer to the WMS REST API Guide.

IHT UPDATES

On passing the Reason for Scrap, the Ref Code 21/Ref Value 21 (RFS) for the following IHTs are captured:

  • 4 - Inventory Adjusted pre verification
  • 29 - Create Allocatable Container
  • 2 - Container Consumed
  • 17 - Inventory Adjusted post verification

NOTE: These fields are also available on Search field in Inventory History UI . This allows users to filter inventory history records based on these new fields.
