Program Entry Tracking Variable and Support for Longer Text Values

Program’s Entry Tracking Variables (ETVs) allow customers to associate enactment-specific values with a Program enactment to facilitate orchestration routing, personalization, and attribution data. ETVs now support a new Long Text data type allowing value lengths up to 2000 bytes. 
 
Long Text ETVs are not supported by Responsys Event Interface (REI) calls nor are they supported by the Set Data activity.
 
The existing ETV data types remain available, including the current TEXT data type supporting value lengths up to 500 bytes.

Steps to Enable

To enable this feature you need to log a Service Request (SR).

Please contact Oracle Support and log an SR with your business requirement. Oracle Support will work with product development to enhance the limit accordingly. 

Tips And Considerations

•    Please note Long Text data type ETVs are not supported in REI calls or with Program’s Set Data activity to update columns in Lists or Profile Extension Tables (PETs)
