Support for Non-Personalized Forms for Unknown Users

With this release, forms now support export of HTML for externally hosted pages in addition to landing pages. When downloading HTML from a published form, users can choose an external form HTML option that generates a non-personalized submission URL. Clients can also select any configured domain to generate sample HTML for the form.

This enhancement also enables form submissions from unknown contacts. The form will match submitted data using the email or phone input fields defined on the form, based on the HTML field names

email

and

phone

. If a form does not include either field, users receive a warning because the contact cannot be identified.

Business Benefits

  • Enables forms to be used on standalone landing pages and externally hosted pages.
  • Allows clients to capture submissions from unknown visitors without requiring prior personalization.
  • Improves form flexibility for externally facing campaigns and data collection workflows.

Steps to enable and configure

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips and considerations

How to start using

  • Use the external HTML download option in the download HTML section of a published form.
  • Ensure the email or phone input fields use the HTML names

    email

    and

    phone

    to support contact matching.

Tips and Considerations

  • Best practice is to include either email or phone as the primary identifier.
  • A custom input can be used for the alternate field if needed.
  • Using both fields together is most appropriate when contact matching may occur through either value in the same form.
