Confidential Attachments for Credentials

Agency staff with permissions or the applicant can upload confidential attachments or update the confidential designation for business license credentials, during application intake and in the license application activity on the Credentials page.

This example illustrates the Confidential switch when uploading a credential attachment.

Business License Credentials - Add Attachments Page

After the application is submitted, when a document is confidential, only agency staff with permissions, the applicant, and the application contacts with full or print, pay, and view access can view the confidential document in the credential attachments for the business license transaction or business record.

This feature aligns credentials with the confidential security in place for other documents and allows the agency to better secure the credential attachments.

Steps to Enable

Confidential Attachments must be enabled under the agency business license option.

To enable:

Navigate to Common Setup > Agency and select your agency.
Select the Features tab and select Manage Business Licenses, Planning and Zoning, Permits.
Click on Review Options in the Business Licenses row.
Under General Settings, turn on the "Enable Confidential Attachments" switch.
Click Save.
