View Persona Specific Default Account UIs

There will be a total of three out-of-the box Sales Account UI layouts.  One layout will be available for users with the out-of-box sales manager job role.  Another will be available for users with the out-of-box sales administrator job role.  The third layout is a default layout that is available to other users that do not have either the out-of-box sales manager or sales administrator job roles.  An example user who would the default layout would be a sales rep.

You can associate custom job roles so that users that have that custom job role is using one of these layouts.

By having distinct page layouts for different personas, the Account UIs can present the most appropriate information needed by different users.

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips And Considerations

Using New Seeded Layouts with Your Custom Job Roles

There are no specific steps to enable these seeded layouts.  Any users that have the seeded job roles for sales rep, sales manager or sales administrator will see the corresponding seeded layouts.

However, if you have custom job roles that you want to use these new layouts, there are three different rules used with out-of-the-box job roles for the header and panel container rulesets. 

In order to enable one of these layouts for a custom job role, you need to clone the layout you want the job role to use, then modify the rule condition.

• For deployments that have customized the previous account layout, you will continue to see the account UIs with your customizations.   
• For users with custom job roles that were previously using out of the box layout, you will see the new default layout which is the Sales Rep layout described above.
• For users with custom job roles that were using customized account layouts, you will continue to see the same custom layout.

Changes to Individual Panels

We also introduced some behavioral changes across the individual panels.  If you have not customized a panel container, you will notice the following changes in behavior to that panel:

• Record sorting have been optimized for each panel
• The message shown when the panel is empty will be different
• An action button may be displayed if the panel is empty
