View File Attachments in Line Item Grid Lines

Oracle CPQ 24B provides the option to allow editing of File Attachment attributes in the Line Item Grid. When enabled, sales users can add and delete a file attachment to a Line Item Grid line item. The attached filename is displayed in the File Attribute type field when an attachment has been added. To add an attachment, click inside the File Attribute type field, click Choose File, then locate and select the desired file.

To remove an attachment, click on the filename, and then select Remove.

Customers can add and manage file attachments for applicable attributes in the Line Item Grid.

Steps to Enable

Allow Editing of File Attachment Attributes in the Line Item Grid.

Complete the following steps to allow editing of File Attachment attributes in the Line Item Grid.

1. Navigate to the Admin page.
2. Click Admin to go to the Admin Home Page.
3. Click Process Definition in the Commerce and Documents section.
4. For the applicable process, select Documents in the Navigation column, and then click List.
5. Select JET Responsive Layout the Navigation column for the main document (e.g. Transaction).
6. Click List.
7. Click on the File Attachment type attribute within the Line Item Grid.
   • You can edit the attribute settings in the layout section or click on Settings in the side panel.
8. Check the Editable option for the File Attachment type attribute within the Line Item Grid.
9. Click Save to retain the layout changes.

Note:  Commerce layout updates are not visible until the Commerce process is deployed (or redeployed).
