Incremental Repricing Option for Commerce Actions
Prior to Oracle CPQ 24C, all line items on a quote were automatically repriced when any Pricing Engine Attribute value was modified to ensure all related pricing items were updated. However, repricing all items is not always necessary and can result in decreased performance for quotes with many line items. Beginning in Oracle CPQ 24C, CPQ provides an option to allow customers to enable incremental pricing in quoting. When incremental pricing is enabled, only line items with an updated Pricing Engine Attribute are repriced. Additionally, a new Commerce action setting allows administrators to override incremental pricing for individual Commerce actions to force a full repricing of the transaction's lines.
The new pricing optimization options provide the ability for customers to control when all line items are repriced for improved performance in the sales user experience.
