Ability to Override Default Price Lists
You can now override the default price list and use another applicable price list on a subscription.
Subscription Header Level
A new “Renewal Price List” dropdown in the Renewal Controls tab will display the applicable price lists when the Price Adjustment Type is set to Reprice. The selected price list will be automatically applied to all product lines when renewal is done, and the Renewal Price List field on the renewed subscription will be cleared.
Product Line Level
A new “Renewal Price List” dropdown in the Product Line Summary section will appear when the Price Adjustment Type for the product line is set to Reprice. The selected price list will be automatically applied to the particular product line during renewal. After renewal, the selected price list will be moved to the Override Price List field, which will be editable only when the product line is in Draft status. Override Price List will be used for any subsequent reprice actions and can be cleared if needed.
When applied at a Subscription Header level, the Renewal Price List value is carried over to the Override Price List field of all product lines, unless it is overridden by the Renewal Price List given at a product line level.
For rate plan-based products, a new “Renewal Rate Plan” dropdown will show valid rate plans for the selected product.
Additionally, the Renewal Price List and Renewal Rate Plan fields will be automatically updated for product changes during renewal, dynamically displaying the applicable values for the new product. You can also clear the Renewal Price List field and leave it blank again if desired.
This gives users the flexibility to modify price lists on a subscription and its product lines. This provides an easier way to manage price list adjustments during renewals, ensuring that all price lists and rate plans are applied correctly and only valid options are available during the renewal process.

Tips And Considerations
-
Only approved price lists will be shown in the Renewal Price List dropdown, ensuring that the price lists are valid for the specific product and customer account.
-
Price lists with expired end dates will not be displayed, and only price lists from the relevant business unit (BU) will be shown.
-
If no Renewal Price List is selected at either the subscription or product level, the Override Price List value from the old subscription, if any, will carry over to the Override Price List of the renewal subscription.
-
If the selected Renewal Rate Plan has expired, the renewal subscription will not be activated.
