Ability to enforce biometrics authentication for CX Sales Mobile
Administrators can now enforce biometric authentication for all users accessing Oracle CX Sales Mobile app. When enabled, users will be required to sign-in using their device's biometric authentication such as facial recognition, ensuring fast and secure mobile access. In addition, administrators can configure how long the app can stay in the background before requiring re-authentication to use the app.
Enforcing biometric authentication for all users enhances security while improving user convenience with quick and secure login.
Steps to Enable
Leverage Application Composer to expose and adjust page layout and attributes. To learn more about extending your application using Application Composer, visit Oracle Help Center > your apps service area of interest > Books > Configuration and Extension.
- In a publishable sandbox, navigate to Application Composer > Mobile Application Setup > CX Sales Mobile Composer > Settings.
- In Security Settings, enable the Require Biometric Authentication setting.
- Review the Biometric Timeout Duration (Seconds) during which the app can stay in the background before requiring authentication to use the app. The recommended (default) timeout duration is 600 seconds (10 mins). The maximum timeout duration can be configured to 1800 seconds (30 mins).
Tips And Considerations
Configure the Biometric Timeout Duration to a duration that is sufficient for users to switch between apps seamlessly. Navigating from the CX Sales Mobile app to a native or external app to complete a task should not require re-authentication on returning to the app. The recommended timeout duration is 10 minutes to allow completion of tasks like calling, texting, or sending an email from CX Sales Mobile app, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted experience.
