Enhancements to quote process: sales rep assistance, e-signature management, and buyer-seller interaction

With Oracle Commerce 25C release, the following key enhancements to the Quote process are introduced:

  1. Seamless Transition to Assisted Sales:
Buyers can easily move from a self-service purchase journey to a sales rep-assisted process, ensuring flexibility and support when needed.
  2. E-Signature Withdrawal for Adjustments:
Buyers have the ability to withdraw pending e-signatures to make changes such as negotiating terms, updating requirements, or modifying approvers.
  3. Re-request E-Signatures:
If an e-signature request is declined or expires, buyers can re-initiate the request or request changes on the quote.
  4. Approver Limit Enforcement:
The system enforces a maximum number of legal approvers that can be selected for E-Signature request to maintain compliance and streamline the approval process.
  5. Asynchronous Proposal Document Generation:
When the number of order lines crosses a predefined threshold, the system automatically switches to asynchronous processing for proposal document generation to maintain performance and responsiveness.

Key benefits include:

  • Ability for Buyers to start in self-service mode and switch to assisted buying without disrupting the process which is particularly useful for high-value purchases where additional reassurance or information is required
  • Delivers a smoother and more responsive user experience, particularly in complex purchasing scenarios.
